“Old School Tattoo Master” Destroy Troy

First of all thank u very much for accepting our interview, Troy! How are you, how is it going?

Been doing good. Just moved to Ypsilanti, Michigan, USA and opened my own private studio next to a beautiful lake. Haven’t been traveling much since I opened the shop. Just going to focus on the studio for a while.

How did you start tattooing and when?

I started tattooing in 2007 with an apprenticeship.

How do you claim your style?

My style is something I’ve always been evolving. The travels were very important to the development. Every city has different tattoo style and trends. Always something new to learn!

What kind of tattoos you like most?

I like traditional style tattooing. I like bold designs built to last.

How many countries did you travel as guest tattooist?

Australia, Hawaii, Istanbul, Denmark, Germany & Switzerland while traveling. Often repeating places like Istanbul. I’ve been there three times.

You came to Turkey too. When and how?

Danny Garcia invited me to visit. His hospitality is unmatched of all my visit. I’ve always loved the food & culture.

What did you like and dislike about tattoo customers in Turkey?

I think the customers were great in Istanbul. Everyone was so nice and lovely.

Generally how was your trip in Turkey? You wanna come again?

I started tattooing in 2007 with an apprentiship. Yes, i would love to return to Istanbul someday!

What is the most absurd/funny/interesting tattoo you did so far?

The most absurd tattoo? Hmmmm, I like the “LOL” tattoo I did on @daveeblows’ thumb. Reminds me to enjoy life in a funny way. Haha!

Thank you so much for sparing your time for us.

I thank you.
